Second Annual POW/MIA REMEMBRANCE RUN/WALK
in Support of Siouxland Freedom Park
Hosted by: Missouri River Runners and Mercy Medical Center
Sioux City Bishop Heelan Memorial Field, 17th & Hamilton
Friday and Saturday, May 25 and 26, 2012

Missouri River Runners and Mercy Medical Center- the #1 Heart Hospital in Iowa are hosting the Second Annual POW/MIA Remembrance Run/Walk in Support of Siouxland Freedom Park. The run will take place at Bishop Heelan's Memorial Field and will last 24 hours beginning on Friday May 25 at 12:00 p.m. and continue through Saturday morning, May 26.

We are encouraging broad civilian participation to join us as we celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. Participants may run or walk as long as they would like; any length of time or distance. Runners and walkers may also participate individually or as members of a team.

During this time to remember and honor heroes we are also hoping to create a festival-like atmosphere at Memorial Field. Fun will be encouraged and the event will include live music, singing, speeches and food vendors.

Participation costs will be $25.00 for all participants. Each participant will receive a technical shirt. Money raised will be donated to Siouxland Freedom Park, a 501(c)(3) organization. Participants can register via the GetMeRegistered website at

www.getmeregistered.com

Event updates, a hard copy registration form, and a list of frequently asked questions are available on the Siouxland Freedom Park Facebook page or the POW/MIA Remembrance Run on Facebook page.
